About the Teevens Center
The Kirsten and Eugene F. “Buddy” Teevens ’79 Center for Peak Performance is Dartmouth's campus-wide initiative for student performance, leadership, and well-being. It prepares Dartmouth students to perform at their best, on and off the field, in the classroom, on stage, and in life beyond Dartmouth. Teevens helps students across campus build the ability to perform under pressure, drawing on tools first developed for elite athletes: mental performance, leadership, and nutrition. The judgment and composure that ability requires are the same qualities leadership demands. That's one of the ways the Teevens Center's work connects to Dartmouth's broader commitment to developing leaders, alongside Dartmouth Dialogues, the Rockefeller Center, athletics and student organizations.
The Teevens Center & Dartmouth
The Teevens Center sits at a deliberate intersection within Dartmouth's org structure. As Director, Duncan reports jointly to Mike Harrity, the Haldeman Family Director of Athletics and Recreation, and Jennifer Rosales, Senior Vice President for Community and Campus Life. That dual reporting line isn't incidental. It reflects the Center's mandate to serve both varsity athletics and the broader student body, and it keeps our work anchored to two of the college's most influential campus divisions rather than siloed within either one.
This structure mirrors a larger institutional commitment. Dartmouth has invested in leadership and performance development as a campus-wide priority, not a department-level offering, and the Center's governance reflects that ambition: strategic direction shaped jointly by Athletics and Community & Campus Life, with President Beilock's continued engagement signaling support from the highest levels of the institution.
