About

The Teevens Center's Visiting Leadership Fellows program brings accomplished leaders to campus for immersive, multi-day residencies that provide students with unparalleled access to real-world leadership insights. Through classroom visits, small-group discussions, fireside chats, and informal mentoring, Fellows engage directly with students across Dartmouth, sharing lessons from leading organizations through innovation, change, and complexity.

Inaugural Fellow - Jeff Immelt

Our inaugural Visiting Leadership Fellow was Jeff Immelt. During his residency, Jeff met with students, faculty, and campus leaders across the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, Tuck School of Business, and the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship. Programming included classroom discussions, student leadership roundtables, a campus-wide fireside conversation on leading through change, entrepreneurship events, and informal networking opportunities, giving students unique access to one of the world's most experienced business leaders.

Jeff Immelt is presented with a Dartmouth jersey.

Leading Through Change with Jeff Immelt

What does it take to lead when the path forward is uncertain? In this fireside conversation, Jeff Immelt, former Chairman and CEO of General Electric and the inaugural Teevens Center Leadership Fellow, joins Dr. Duncan Simpson, Director of the Teevens Center for Peak Performance, for a candid discussion on leadership, adaptability, failure, decision-making, and helping people and teams move forward through rapid change.

LE@D - Leadership Education @ Dartmouth

Leadership is learned, practiced, and strengthened over time, and Dartmouth offers students many ways to develop it. The Teevens Center has been directly involved in Leadership Education at Dartmouth (LE@D), a cross-campus initiative that brings together programs, resources, and people from across the College to help students identify, explore, and engage in leadership opportunities.

Through the Leadership Hub, students can browse programs by area, search a sortable table of opportunities, and use tools to understand and chart their own leadership path. Staff and faculty who run leadership programs will also find resources to support their work.

We strongly encourage anyone who wants to learn more about this cross-campus effort to
