Wellness (WE) Proposal Rubric

Purpose of the WE Credit

Wellness Education (WE) Credit experiences promote health and well-being skills that equip students to flourish and thrive during their time as a student and throughout their lives by providing a foundation for academic and personal success.

Applying the liberal arts philosophy that encourages student exploration and self-discovery beyond the classroom, the WE Credit provides students with opportunities to enhance their own health and well-being based on self-knowledge, learning, and growth.

Learning Objectives

Through the completion of WE credits, students will be able to:

  • Understand wellbeing from a multi-dimensional lens
  • Explore a variety of wellness-enhancing activities across the dimensions of physical, social, emotional, intellectual, financial, spiritual, and environmental.
  • Identify wellness practices that align with their personal needs and interests
  • Discover internal and external resources that contribute to their well-being
  • *Practice activities, skills, and techniques that cultivate perspective, contribute to creating authentic connections with others, increase mindful engagement, and support values-based action
  • Integrate wellness into the construction of a meaningful, fulfilling, and successful life
